Admonishes

The Bible contains six admonishments to homosexuals and 362 admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals. It's just that they need more supervision. ~Lynn Lavner

I need your help!

I have had this blog on and off for quite a while. And now I need my readers help. Here is my problem. I don't think that I am really providing a service to the LGBT community with what I am putting on here. 99% is reblogged articles from other sites. And none of it really has anything to do with Muskegon.

I love Muskegon, and the gay men and women who live here. We are a strong group of people. We have jobs, and raise our kids, and keep our houses up. The only difference between us and the rest of the world is the people we love. And the fact that we are often discriminated against by the rest of the world.

So I am asking a simple question to all my readers:  What do you think I could do to make this blog more relevant and better? If you could leave your answers in the comments section I will read them and take them under consideration and regardless of what is said I will publish them. I want to make this blog something that is good for all our people.

In the beginning I thought people wanted to see old pornongraphy. And so I posted a lot of pictures I found on the internet. They were the most read things on the blog. There wasn't much of an article associated with them. And then my brother, who is straight, found my blog. And all hell broke loose. This was the main reason I shut the blog down. But I started to think that maybe, just maybe I had missed the point of this blog. Gay and proud in Muskegon. Okay I know why I am gay, but what am I proud of as it relates to Muskegon and being gay? So I restarted the blog with a better understanding of what I wanted to accomplish.

So I am beginning to search out the real gay Muskegon. What happens here in Muskegon. Yes the parties, the fun, but also the reality of being gay in this society. I will reblog some articles but I think maybe I need to write more original material. But I need you guy's help. And you don't have to be a resident of Muskegon to participate.

What makes San Francisco the home base for gays in America? Why can't Muskegon, if not be a home base, be a popular stop on the gay parade like Saugatuck used to be? Help me find the answers and along the way we might even have some fun. That rainbow flag hasta stand for something doesn't it?
