Well today I got asked this question, "seriously, what does this blog have to do with Muskegon?" Well the answer is, nothing and everything. Attitudes that are constantly changing are what interest me. The fact that the Queen of England is making such a dramatic change in the British Commonwealth as it relates to sexual orientation is an amazing thing and I wanted to share it with people on the blog. The header of my blog states, " This is just my blog. If it makes sense, well then I am just as surprised as you are. Sometimes being just who you are? - It's hard but it's worth it in the end." I truly believe this, being who you are is worth it in the end.
And being a "gay blog" does this mean there needs to be a bunch of naked men on here with firm erections and silly smiles? Well that may be what some gay blogs are all about, but not me. I think there are enough important issues that need to be presented for the over all good of our community that I can afford to leave the naked men to someone else's blog.
I want to bring to you all the important issues of our time. President Obama's support for gay marriage. Made the news and we all said, "yeah!!" But what really happened? Turns out the man was just expressing his opinion. That's good, but, nobody seem to get the underlying meaning. So I bring those issues out here. And hopefully we will get a dialog started.
It's amazing how the typical citizen knows what he wants from his government, but rarely does he or she get it. So that's what this is all about. Most of my friends refer to this blog as a scrape book, because I do so much cutting and pasting. I re-blog those things I find interesting.
